Can I Really Place Candidates Nationwide?
You do not need to place candidates in the geographic area where you live. You can place candidates in locations throughout the world. The key is to limit your choices to a maximum of six locations. This allows you to create a circle of influence in each of these locations. The goal is to have a minimum of five clients in each area. This will allow you to multi-use your orders as well as the candidates you will represent.
There are certain niches that work out more successful in a local market. These would include light industrial, call center, office/clerical and other lower level positions which could require in-office interviewing and testing of candidates.
Higher level areas of specialization do not require a local market. You want to focus your efforts in the niche and geographic locations which will provide you with the greatest chance of success. An example would be Houston, TX if you select “Oil & Gas” as your niche.
