Generate revenue ASAP

Written on July 31st, 2015 by in Blog

Cash flow is the lifeblood of business, and is absolutely essential to feed bottom-line profits. So you need to find ways to jump start cash flow as soon as possible.

How do you do that? It’s important to realize that the direct placement business generates revenue slower than the temp or contracts segments of the Staffing and Recruiting business. It can take up to three months to generate income if you only specialize in direct placements. This takes into consideration the hiring process, time to hand in notice and the 30 days it will take to get paid after you invoice your client.

The Temporary or Contract Staffing segments of the profession hire faster and normally pay upon receipt of your invoice or within a relatively short time frame. Employers understand that you are paying the temp or contractor each week.

Offer what people want to buy

Written on July 31st, 2015 by in Blog

It is important to offer services that people (clients and candidates) want to buy, not just what you want to sell them. Don’t jump into a Staffing or Recruiting business around what you think will succeed, rather than researching what is already proven to have a market. There are three primary segments in the Staffing and Recruiting Profession i.e. Direct Placement, Temporary or Contract Staffing. There are endless areas of specialization or niche markets. It’s better to have a small percentage of a large potential market than to have a higher percentage of a low margin or difficult market. When creating your Staffing and Recruiting Firm, it is also important to remember that clients want us to provide individuals with skills, stability and experience. It is not often that we place individuals who have little or no experience or are currently not working.

Is there a great disadvantage to enter this Profession with no prior recruiting experience?

I’ve never hired anyone for my Staffing and Recruiting Profession who had recruiting experience.   Staffing and Recruiting is a Sales Profession and you must be comfortable with sales if you are to excel.

It is a very rewarding profession for the following reasons:

  • Each day we change people’s lives for the better.
  • Each day we provide talent that can help our clients achieve their goals.
  • There is no limit on what you can earn.
  • You will never run out of products or inventory.
  •  There is not an initial large sum of money you must invest to enter this profession.
  • Once you master the art of Recruiting; all you will ever need is a computer and telephone to earn a very good living.

How Important is the ability to market?

Written on July 31st, 2015 by in Blog

There are two sides to the Staffing and Recruiting Profession (Marketing “Sales” and Recruiting). You can represent the best talent, but your success is dependent on your ability to market your services to clients. You must also represent the clients that your top talent prefers. It is for that reason that 50% of our training is focused on marketing.  We teach you how to identify companies that utilize third party recruiters so you can make informed warm calls vs. pure cold calls.  We also teach you how to convert reference checks into marketing presentations, how you will obtain leads and inside information from the candidate you interview, how to market candidates to prospective clients and we also provide you with scripts, how to overcome the objections you will receive and much more.  Twenty days of the Top Producer are focused on marketing and there are over 25 Webinars on marketing in the Library of the Tutor.  You also get copies of all the forms you will need (26 Proprietary Forms) which include a 12-step marketing process.

How long does it take to set up your business and actually generate revenue?

Written on July 31st, 2015 by in Blog

It will take you 90-120 days to set up your business if you are working a full-time job.  This will give you time to complete the 24 Lessons in the Start Up Tutor and complete the 80 day Top Producer Tutor training program.  You will be able to generate revenue in approximately 2-3 months (dependent on your niche and segment of the profession that will become your focus). From the time you write your first order, the national average to place someone in a job is 5 weeks.  (If you place very high level (CFO, CEO etc.) it takes much longer. The candidate must then hand in a two week notice, because most of the people we place in full-time jobs are currently working. This brings the time frame to 7 weeks. Most clients pay our fees in 30 days which brings you to nine weeks.
